How To Help
If you are a breastfeeding mom in good health, we would love for you to join the other moms who pump for our recipient families. Please visit the Donors Page for more information.
We are always looking for dedicated volunteers to do everything from pick up milk at drop-off sites to help plan fundraising events. If you are seeking a way to make a difference in the lives of Central Florida families, please read more here.
We are in search of pumping supplies including milk storage bags and brand new pumps. Please Contact Us if you are able to donate items for our donor moms.
Other providers typically charge between $3-$5 per ounce for donor breast milk. When you consider that most babies consume between 20 and 35 ounces of milk each and every day, donor milk can quickly become cost-prohibitive for the average family.
We are the ONLY breast milk provider in the country that requests only a minimal administrative fee, comparable to the cost of formula, of $0.20 per ounce.
We believe that families in crisis are dealing with enough heartache, and paying for their baby’s food should not be among the list of stressors. Our administrative fee is not mandatory, therefore those families in a particularly challenging situations are still able to receive our assistance.
Running an organization takes capital. We have marketing expenses to ensure an adequate supply of donor milk, general business expenses like voicemail, a PO box, and this website, and professional development expenses to ensure the Board stays up-to-date on the latest safety standards in the human milk banking industry.
To maintain this model, we rely on the generosity of our corporate and individual sponsors. Because our overhead is low and we have no paid staff members, all donations are directly used to obtain and distribute breast milk to families in crisis. Our goal is to help as many families as possible, so the more resources we have, the more good we can do in the Central Florida community. If you hope an organization like Get PUMPed! would be there for your family should the unthinkable occur, please consider “paying it forward.”
Get PUMPed is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and all contributions are 100% tax deductible.
Do you happen to know of businesses that are looking to donate capital or goods? Any foundations that are hoping to share the wealth? A letter has been created to share with organizations who might be able to donate pumping supplies, financial resources, or anything else which might help Get PUMPed! carry out our mission. If you are interested in contacting organizations to help, please Contact Us for a copy of the letter.
